Glory for Richard Hannon - just not in France
RICHARD HANNON’S Olympic Glory lost narrowly to Moonlight Cloud in the Prix Jacques le Marois but closer to home his stable was unbeatable.
Jockey Richard Hughes landed five winners from six rides – three of them for his father-in-law – at his lucky track Windsor, where he rode seven from eight last season.
And the stable had another winner at Leicester. In a quality Group One at Deauville, trainer Freddie Head’s Moonlight Cloud, left, saw off the Frankie Dettori-ridden Olympic Glory by a head just seven days after her recordbreaking third triumph in the Prix Maurice de Gheest.
