The boyhood United fan hit the winner at Old Trafford to knock his former club out of the FA Cup.

Welbeck sent the 8,500 travelling away fans into delirium.

But shortly after his match winner, Welbeck was targeted by trolls on Twitter.

One United fan, Syms Mohamed tweeted: "Somebody just KILL Welbeck!

Can't stand the a**hole! #RedOrDead #MUFC

Another fan, Patrick Hogan, tweeted: "Woke up with the urge to kill welbeck."

While one fan was particularly menacing after tweeting: "I'm coming for you Welbeck. I'll find out where you live and I'll stick a french baguette up your a**hole! Judas!"
