Gerard Pique should think twice about Premier League return - Paul Scholes
GERARD PIQUE would struggle to play in the Premier League, according to Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.
Manchester United - Most Expensive Signings
The Spaniard left Old Trafford for Barcelona in 2008 and has become an undoubted success, winning 15 major club titles.
However, Pique has fallen out of favour this term and has struggled to nail down a regular first team spot.
Chelsea and United are both courting him, with the Premier League powerhouses lining up £24m bids for the centre half.
But Scholes has cast doubt over whether Pique could cut it were a move back to the Premier League materialise.

But I think Gerard would find it harder back in the Premier League
"I have always thought that Spanish football, and Barcelona in particular, suits him best,' Scholes told The Independent.
"He likes being in a side that keeps possession.
"He is great at home but playing away at the big teams in England is a completely different prospect for a defender.
"His success at Barcelona and with Spain has been incredible. But I think Gerard would find it harder back in the Premier League."
