Coronation Street star ‘exposes’ behind-the-scene antics of Roy Cropper's trial
Coronation Street actor Calum Lill gave fans of the ITV soap a sneak peek of what unfolded behind the scenes of Roy Cropper's trial.
Coronation Street: Roy Cropper is denied bail
Coronation Street star Calum Lill, who plays Joel Deering in the ITV soap, showed fans what happens behind the cameras that people may not get to see. Sharing a video on social media, the actor allowed his followers to spend the day filming with him.
As the cast was shooting on location in Bolton, the scenes in question are surrounding Roy Cropper’s (played by David Neilson) trial as he showed snippets of them in court.
Pointing up to the cameras in the building, his followers could see CCTV monitors which showed a car park and a stairwell. However, the soap star revealed a filming hack which fans may not have noticed.
He commented: “Lovely security CCTV cameras there, that was paper, we stuck it on." While on set, he bumped into Alison King, who plays Carla Barlow in the soap.
Asking how she was feeling, the actress confessed: “Petrified!” He later was seen with Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey, reading their upcoming lines for the show.
Many fans were thrilled with Calum exposing some soap secrets, although it wasn't long before some commented their thoughts on Roy Cropper’s trial.
Although the fan-favourite is being questioned by the police, some think Joel is involved with Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance.

In recent scenes, Roy’s bail was denied as his loved ones are continuing to try and prove his innocence.
However, Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) decided to get involved and told DS Swain (Vicky Myers) that he saw another man taking Lauren, who wasn’t Roy.
On Wednesday night, fans saw Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) brought in for questioning as the description Bobby gave matched him.
Will Daniel find himself behind bars instead of Roy as residents are determined to get the cafe owner out?
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
