Mrs Thacker, 56, criticised for her failures over the child sex abuse scandal in the town, is understood to have moved out of her four-bed detached home in Baildon, West Yorks.

Her address was publicised on the English Defence League and Britain First websites and online posts urged people to “protest outside her house”.

One said: “Get rid of this ***** now” while another demanded she be “hounded from her home”.

Mrs Thacker quit her £130,000 executive post last month.

A damning report had revealed that at least 1,400 young girls had been targeted for rape, trafficking and exploitation by Asian men in Rotherham.

She received a £40,000 pay-off from the local Labour-run authority.

MP Keith Vaz has called for the money to be repaid.
