The controversial presenter told the audience at the Roundhouse Gala in London last night: "I didn't foresee my sacking, but I would like to do one last lap."

He auctioned off a final spin around the Top Gear track at the fundraiser which can be seen in our candid video taken at the event.

Clarkson, 54, continued: "So I'll go down to Surrey and I'll do one last lap of that track before the f*****g b******s sack me."

"There was an 18 year waiting list to be in the audience of Top Gear, but the BBC has f****d themselves.

"It was a great show and they've f****d it up, tonight's the night when you have the opportunity."

Clarkson was suspended by the BBC after a "fracas" with producer Oisin Tymon earlier this month.

The BBC refused to comment further, offering only the following formal statement: “Following last week’s suspension of Jeremy Clarkson, Ken MacQuarrie is now considering the evidence and will report to the Director-General on his findings next week.

“Once this has been considered, we will set out any further steps.

“The BBC will not be offering further commentary until then.”

It is not yet clear if Clarkson was joking during the rant.

The news comes amid reports that the presenter attempted to apologise to Tymon at his home.

Clarkson "tried for up to five minutes but in the end had to walk away" after the producer refused to open his door, the Mirror reported.
