Strictly's Katya Jones breaks silence on relationship status after split from boyfriend
Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones split from property mogul and ex-footballer William Abbotts last year.
Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones shared an update on her relationship status. The professional dancer, 34, opened up about her dating life in a Q&A on Instagram. Asked if there is a special man in her life, Katya replied with a photo of herself holding a notepad with the word "NO" written across it. The Russian-born dancer was then asked what she would do if she had 12 months to change her life.
Hinting that she doesn't need a man to make her happy, Katya responded: "Absolutely NOTHING! I love my life. I love people that I choose to be it. I have managed to create a great work/life balance for the last few years. I love the freedom that it gives me. I adore my job."
The TV star added: "And I am aware that it is a privilege to be able to say that. So I feel extremely grateful." Katya's last known romance was with property mogul and ex-footballer William Abbotts. The former couple enjoyed a string of dates in Knutsford, Cheshire, in July last year before being spotted together in public.
However, just three months later a source claimed their relationship had "run its course", with Katya's focus firmly on winning Strictly with her partner Nigel Harman.
A source told The Sun: "The union ran its course. Katya is single and focusing on the dance competition. She knows she has a strong chance of making it to the final this year. She doesn’t want any distractions."
Katya and Nigel were forced to withdraw from the competition just hours before the quarter-final after the EastEnders actor, 50, sustained an injury.
Earlier this month, Katya reunited with her former Strictly partner Tony Adams.
The duo were paired up in 2022 but Tony, 57, was also forced to walk away from the BBC competition after injuring his hamstring.

Documenting their reunion on Instagram, Katya wrote: "Weekend with My Cotswold family," revealing that she had spent the time "dancing in the kitchen, shopping, singing, cooking and lots of hugs".
While Katya and Tony were performing on Strictly, the duo became the subject of feud rumours. But they quickly put the claims to bed during an appearance on Good Morning Britain in November 2022.
Tony cheekily remarked: "We constantly argue, don't we?" To which Katya quipped: "We just don't like each other at all, we don't get on!"
