The Duchess of Cambridge fuelled speculation yet again after a set of expensive feminine paint samples by Oxford interior design company Annie Sloan were understood to be supplied to the royals.

With just weeks to go, Kate and William will be getting the nursery in Anmer Hall organised and ready for the prince or princess’s impending arrival.

Their ten-bedroom house is on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and where they are currently residing.

The decorative paint has been specially crafted by Annie Sloan to create a velvety, matt finish. And the specialist shades comes with a price tag of £18.95 per pot.

According to the Daily Mail the colours are understood to be Henrietta, a ‘beautiful rich complex pink with a hint of lilac’, Antoinette, a ‘soft pale pink with a hint of brown’, reminiscent of ‘old-fashioned roses and the colour of old plaster’ and Emile, a ‘warm soft aubergine colour with pink red undertones’.

Kensington Palace refused to comment on the rumours. A spokesman for Annie Sloan could not “confirm or deny” that it had supplied paints to Anmer Hall.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes are already favouring that Kate and Will are having a girl, with odds at 4-5.

Prince George welcoming a brother to the world is at 11-10.
