Prince William shows up Meghan Markle with subtle gesture during latest royal outing

Prince William has shown up Meghan Markle while out and about during a royal engagement, a body language expert has claimed.

The Prince of Wales was seen today visiting a surplus food redistribution charity Sunbury-on-Thames where he showed off his prowess in the kitchen by helping cook bolognese.

Body language expert Judi James noted the timing of the outing after the Duchess launched her new lifestyle brand.

Speaking to Daily Express about William's appearance, Ms James said: "His hand clasp is slightly raised to suggest he is thanking well-wishers but the way he constantly claps them together suggests a desire to carry on with the job.

"He appears genuinely touched by the card he is given and, like his father, the outpouring of sympathy seems to have brought out a more tactile and softer side.

"Chopping veg and joining in gives him a way of immersing himself and maybe proving it’s not only the Montecito branch of the family that can prove their talent in the kitchen."

Ms James' comments come as Meghan promotes the first product released as part of her new brand – American Riviera Orchard.

The Duchess gave fans a glimpse of her new strawberry jam with the help of friends Tracy Robbins and Delfina Balquier.

Balquier, an Argentine socialite, posted on Instagram: “Strawberry jam makes me happy. And I love your jam, @‌AmericanRivieraOrchard."

The post was accompanied with a picture of Meghan’s jam jar.

Robbins also posted: “@americanrivieraorchard Breakfast, lunch and dinner just got a little sweeter. Thank you for the delicious basket!
