Kate Beckinsale hints at health update with T-shirt after deleting hospital stay pictures

Kate Beckinsale left fans concerned for her health as she was hospitalised but it seems the star is on the mend.

The 50-year-old actress caused a lot of confusion last week when she posted and later deleted pictures from a hospital bed, wearing a medical gown but with no explanation.

She also limited comments on her post and avoided fans’ questions regarding why she was in hospital before deleting it altogether.

One week later, the Love and Friendship actress returned to Instagram, posting a picture of herself wearing a “Tummy Troubles Survivor” T-shirt, posing with one of her dogs.

Yet again, Beckinsale didn’t elaborate and simply shared it with an arm muscle emoji and a white heart.

The star first shared that she was having health issues on Mother’s Day, March 11, with a picture of her looking upset in a hospital gown with a black bow on her head.

According to Page Six, she wrote in the caption: “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it's s*** and try to make sure there are some bits that aren't.

“And for looking after our dogs when we can't, and lead us to remember happy things when we can't. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us…

“And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”

Although the post focused on her stay in hospital, it seemed to have paid tribute to Beckinsale’s 77-year-old mum Judy Loe for Mother’s Day.

Nearly a month after these pictures emerged, on Wednesday, April 10, she shared a photo of her legs in black pyjama bottoms decorated with white bows and wearing fuzzy rabbit socks, in hospital.

She captioned it “Happy Easter”, with emojis of rabbits and a hatching chick but it wasn’t clear if she was in the same hospital bed or room.

Beckinsale, however, didn’t make it clear if she had remained in hospital since March or if this was another visit.

And it seems that her fans are not the only ones who have been left in the dark with celebrities also appearing clueless.

Hollaback Girl singer Gwen Stefani commented: “What’s wrong!!”, while Rebel Wilson’s fiance Ramona Agruma simply wrote: “Get well darling”.

Beckinsale was left heartbroken at the beginning of the year after the death of her step-father and TV director Roy Battersby who had worked on Inspector Morse and A Touch of Frost.

At the time, she also shared her outrage at Battersby not being included in BAFTA’s In Memoriam segment, despite winning its Alan Clarke award in 1996.
