Miriam Margolyes has sparked a bitter feud among Harry Potter cast members after one slammed her "derogatory comments" against fans.

Miriam Margolyes stirred some controversy among the Harry Potter community as she brutally critiqued adult fans saying that they should have “moved on” once they hit puberty and that “it’s time to forget about it and go on to other things.”
Fans quickly turned against the actress, who lashed out again telling them to “get over it”, but now even her former co-stars are speaking out.
Jessie Cave, who starred in the franchise as Ron’s love interest Lavender Brown, slammed Miriam’s declarations as “terrible”.
The 36-year-old appeared alongside a number of other castmates including Rupert Grint who played Ron Weasley at a Harry Potter convention in Paris.
The actress slammed: “I think it’s terrible. I really don’t like that she said that. It’s such an amazing thing that Harry Potter has done.

"It’s created a fan base that has aged and is still bonded through it and it’s passed on to younger generations and that’s what is so amazing.
"She probably just doesn’t understand that or get that. I think this situation is very unusual,” which got a resounding applause from the audience and the full support of Devon Murray sitting next to her, who played Seamus Finnigan.
Despite their disagreement, Jessie pleaded with fans to “let (Miriam) be”.
The 82-year-old spoke to New Zealand television network 1News last month saying: “I worry about Harry Potter fans because they should be over that by now. It was 25 years ago. Grow up. It’s for children but they get stuck in it."
She poked fun at the franchise’s fans adding “I do Cameos and people say they are doing a Harry Potter-themed wedding, and I think; ‘Oh gosh what is their first night of fun going to be?’
“I can’t even think about it. Harry Potter is wonderful, I’m very grateful to it. It’s over. That’s what I think.”
She later doubled down on her comments, telling ABC News Australia: “If your balls have dropped, then it’s time to forget about it. You know, go on to other things. I just think that it’s for children. And then it’s time to move on.”
