WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Good Doctor.
The Good Doctor season seven’s schedule has been changing more frequently than expected with fans having to wait for the seventh episode.
ABC shared last year that the Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) led medical drama would be back for one final outing before it’s time to say goodbye to those at St Bonaventure Hospital for good.
Like many shows, The Good Doctor was delayed by several months thanks to the Hollywood strikes last year which, in turn, has meant dramas including planned breaks upon their return.
This is so they can finish in line with their networks’ usual schedules, with most then expected to make a comeback around September time.
The Good Doctor may be over once series seven is wrapped up but it is also going to end in the latter half of May so planned hiatuses have been a must to make this happen.

This is why ABC aired a rerun of The Good Doctor on Tuesday, April 16, rather than season seven, episode seven, Faith.
Sadly, this is not a one but two-week delay in the show’s proceedings so the instalment won’t be airing until Tuesday, April 30.
After just the first two episodes had come out at the beginning of season seven, there was a three-week break which fans were far from happy with.
But going by the plan on the show’s IMDb page, it looks like this will be the final hiatus with the remaining three episodes set to air as expected every Tuesday.

Bearing this in mind, the final ever episode of The Good Doctor is expected to drop on Tuesday, May 21.
For now though, viewers are still left heartbroken by the death of Dr Asher Wolke (Noah Galvin) in the fifth instalment, Who At Peace.
Asher had struggled with his relatinship with God, growing up in a very religious Jewish household but started to accept it was part of him after standing up to criminals who vandalised a synagogue.
It was during this confrontation that Asher also revealed that he was gay and when he and Rabbi Benjamin (David Attar) parted ways, the group of men ambushed the doctor in a car park.
The vicious antisemitic and homophobic attack led to Asher dying as a result of his injuries, leaving his boyfriend nurse Jerome Martel (Giacomo Baessato) devastated.
He was waiting for Asher in a nearby restaurant, planning on proposing to his other half to celebrate their two-year anniversary.
According to the synopsis of episode seven, Faith, a patient of Shaun and Jordan Allen’s (Bria Henderson) is in need of a kidney transplant but after finding the perfect donor, they discover that he believes he is Jesus Christ.
So will the patient’s belief compromise his ability to give consent to the surgery?
The Good Doctor season 7 continues on Tuesday, April 30, on ABC.
