Speaking to TalkTV, royal correspondent Michael Cole said that the role would have been a perfect fit for Prince Harry, who served in the Army and did two tours of Afghanistan.

Cole said Sophie did a "great job" but it's "exactly the sort of job" Prince Harry would be "uniquely qualified to do" if he were still a working member of the Royal Family.

Despite this, none of the royals ventured into Ukraine amidst the conflict until the visit from Sophie who is married to Prince Edward, the King's youngest sibling.

Throughout her journey, Sophie encountered survivors of sexual violence and torture. At an evening reception hosted at the residence of the UK ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, she spoke candidly about her interactions with survivors in other conflict-ridden nations.

"Women and girls pay the highest price in terms of human costs," she declared, before noting: "Rape is used to demean, to degrade and to destroy."

During her time with President Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska, Sophie conveyed a personal message from King Charles and discussed ongoing support for survivors of sexual violence in war.
