As temperatures rise and summer approaches, the buzzing presence of flies can quickly become a nuisance for homeowners.

While commercial insecticides offer a solution, many individuals prefer natural remedies to get rid of flies, and one pantry staple is becoming the top choice.

Vinegar boasts natural properties that repel flies.

Its acidic nature and pungent scent make it unappealing to these insects, offering an effective yet eco-friendly solution for fly control.

Crafting a vinegar fly trap is a simple yet effective process.

All you need is a shallow dish or bowl, apple cider vinegar, and a few drops of dish soap.

Fill the dish with apple cider vinegar, enough to cover the bottom, and add a few drops of dish soap to break the surface tension of the vinegar.

Position the vinegar fly trap in areas where flies are most prevalent, such as near garbage bins, kitchen countertops, or entryways.

The scent of the vinegar will lure flies to the trap, while the dish soap prevents them from escaping by breaking the liquid's surface tension.

Check the trap regularly and replenish the vinegar as needed.
