Marvel theory: Ant-Man 3 introduces Fantastic Four and Kang the Conqueror in Quantum Realm
ANT-MAN 3 will introduce the Fantastic Four and Kang the Conqueror in the Quantum Realm, according to a popular new fan theory.
Avengers: Paul Rudd admits his son prefers Black Widow
Ant-Man 3 has been announced with a likely 2022 release date with Peyton Reed returning to direct. While Ant-Man and the Wasp explored more of the Quantum Realm, it was Avengers Endgame where Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang played a crucial role. The Quantum Realm proved to be key for the Avengers in reversing Thanos’ Snap, by using it to time travel and borrow the Infinity Stones from moments in the MCU’s past. Surely this means Ant-Man 3 will see some more chrononautical adventures?
And let’s not forget the city that was spotted in the Quantum Realm during Ant-Man and the Wasp.
After all, Janet van Dyne had been surviving down there for decades somehow.
And now a popular new fan theory argues that Ant-Man 3 will introduce both the Fantastic Four and Kang the Conqueror to the Quantum Realm.
The superhero team and supervillain are connected in the comics, with Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) being an ancestor of Kang (Nathaniel Richards), a time traveller from the 31st century.
According to Reddit user ak2sup: “The Quantum city we saw in Ant-Man and the Wasp play[s a] key role in [the] introduction of Fantastic Four and Kang.
“The city I believe is Chronopolis – city of Kang the conqueror.”
They continued: “My theory is that [the] Fantastic Four were stuck in [the] Quantum Realm during [the]1960s, when they visited the realm for the fi[r]st time.
“They got superpowers in N zone (a more dangerous part of [the] Quantum Realm) and then they had to face [the] Rulers of Negative zone (either Annihilus or Blastaar) but they got stuck there in the process.
“I believe it wasn't a[n] accident but a planned act of Kang who wants Reed Richards for his own selfish reason since Reed is [the] great great grandfather of Nathaniel Richards aka Kang.
“I think at the end of Ant-Man 3, Scott or Janet (who knows [the] Quantum city) visits the Chronopolis and free[s]…[the] Fantastic Four and bring[s] them to [the] real world.”
Last year, Ant-Man 3 director Peyton Reed teased a threequel would delve deeper into the Quantum Realm.

The director told Empire: “Maybe there's more down there than we realised.
“Clearly, Janet's been up to something and has different clothes on and some weapons. Where did those come from?”
“And similarly, if you look at the right moment and freeze the DVD in a certain place, maybe you'll see something else as well that could tip a hat to where the story could go.
What else would that be but the Quantum Realm City?
Ant-Man 3 will probably release in July 2022.
