BERLIN's Michelin-starred Skykitchen is set to become the city's highest restaurant as it relocates to the 12th floor of the andel’s Hotel Berlin.

However at 12 floors,  Skykitchen is dwarfed by its fellow skyrise culinary competitors across the world.

5. CATCH

Guangzhou holds two places in the top five highest restaurants in the world. Exit the elevator on the 100th floor at the Four Seasons Hotel and you can be wining and dining at 1,340 feet. Despite being well above sea level, Catch offers a modern take on exquisite seafood dishes.

4. TOSCA

China features heavily in the list of highest restaurants, but at number four in the world, Tosca provides perhaps the most spectacular view. Hovering above the Hong Kong habour, the Italian restaurant on the 102nd floor at the Ritz-Carlton offers a view worth the menu's prices.

3. TWIST

Not only the third highest restaurant in the world, but TWIST also achieves the honour of the highest revolving restaurant. Turning around the Canton building in Guangzhou, China at 1,387 feet, the buffet restaurant offers a mix of Mediterranean, Western, and Chinese dishes

2. ELBA

This Italian restaurant  in Shenzhen, China, scales a height of 1,397 feet, inside the luxurious St. Regis Hotel. Elba offers a mixed menu of staple Italian dishes of pasta and pizza yet throws in some local twists such as the Peking duck pizza.

At a staggering 1,450 feet, Dubai's At.mosphere Restaurant and Lounge tops the list of skyrise restaurants. The tower itself, the Burj Khalifa, registers in at a whopping 2,717 feet, a giant amongst the cityscape. Through the glass walls you'll be able to check out palm islands and sparkling seas.
