The undefeated Nurmagomedov claimed McGregor’s 155lbs title in the main event of UFC 223, which took place in the early hours of the morning.
Dagestan native Nurmagomedov became the ruler of the lightweight division by seeing off Al Iaquinta via unanimous decision at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Victory over Iaquinta saw Nurmagomedov become the tenth man to preside over the stacked 155lbs division.
And he wasted little time in calling out McGregor, who attempted to throw a dolley at him earlier this week.

“Iaquinta is real Brooklyn gangster, this is not about chicken,” he said in his post-fight interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan.
