Laura Robson falls at second Williams sister hurdle in Rome
LAURA ROBSON could not complete a sister act last night, after losing 6-2, 6-2 to Serena Williams in the second round of the Italian Open in Rome.
The British No1 had stunned Venus Williams in the first round, 6-3, 6-2, but she was beaten by the American’s sibling in 75 minutes.
Robson said: “She is No1 in the world for a reason and I thought she was really dialled in and played well. It’s a learning experience, but I had chances that I just didn’t take.”
