Dragons rout sorry Widnes
CLINT GREENSHIELDS (above) and Damien Cardace put Widnes to the sword yesterday as they grabbed seven tries between them in a 76-6 victory for Catalan Dragons.
Cardace enjoyed a four-try debut for the Dragons, who posted their record Super League score while giving Widnes a 13-try hammering in Perpignan.
The young winger had the run of the Stade Gilbert Brutus against the Super League newcomers, who were
given their loudest wake-up call yet.
Greenshields went over for three tries while other scores went to Remy Casty, Setamaita Sa, Louis Anderson, Damien Blanch, Daryl Millard and Vincent Duport.
Widnes, for whom Sione Kite scored in the first half, return to the bottom of the division as a result of London’s
36-0 win over Wakefield at the Stoop.
