Adrian Morley stays out
WARRINGTON will have to go into battle without skipper Adrian Morley when champions Wigan bid to break the holders’ grip on the Challenge Cup.
Prop Adrian Morley, 34, who has led the Wolves to back-to-back Wembley triumphs, is still struggling with double vision which has forced him to miss the past three games.
Coach Tony Smith will take no risks with Morley despite him being desperate to play in Saturday’s quarter-final at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and may opt to give Test second rower Ben Westwood a spell at prop in Wolves’ biggest game of the season.
“It’s hard for a warrior like Morley who just wants to get out there and play,” said Smith. “But people’s health and safety are much more important than any game of rugby league.”
