England launch eighth new kit in two years ahead of Fiji autumn international
ENGLAND are set to play Fiji in blue at Twickenham this autumn – their eighth different kit in just over two years.
England captain Dylan Hartley will sport a new strip in the autumn
The RFU are poised to bring out the new ‘away’ strip alongside the tweaked white one – retailing at £90 – which was unveiled by members of the squad yesterday.
It will lead to accusations of greed by the RFU, who announced record turnover of £208m last November and a retained profit of £7.7m.
England face Fiji on November 19 a week after South Africa with Argentina and the Wallabies also visiting Twickenham.
The 45-man England squad trained yesterday in Teddington minus the axed Luther Burrell, who was discarded after being substituted half-an-hour into the first Test against Australia in June.
“Knowing him personally he is a resilient bloke but where he is now it is up to him to prove his point and we will see the best of him,” said England captain Dylan Hartley.
