Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp has Danny Ings decision to make
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has a decision to make over Danny Ings with reports suggesting Southampton have made an offer for the striker.
Ings has made just 14 appearances in three seasons at Anfield – with six as a starter – and is desperate to get more first-team football.
The Reds signed the 25-year-old from Burnley in 2015 though he has previously played for Southampton.
And The Sun report that Saints manager Mark Hughes is keen to take Ings back to St Mary’s.
One issue could be Liverpool’s valuation of Ings.
Despite his lack of appearances, the Reds reportedly want £20million for the striker.
That’s over triple what they paid for him from Burnley having bought Ings for £6.5m.
Should Klopp choose to sell Ings, it could mean a more regular role for Daniel Sturridge.
Ings was used as a substitute on occasion last season while Sturridge was loaned out to West Brom.

But Klopp has offered Sturridge a lifeline following his impressive showing at Chester last weekend.
“I saw a lot of good things from Daniel so he needs more of that, he can still impress me," he said.
“I know about his quality.
"A very positive week, very positive today, he looked really good.”
