Arsenal vs Tottenham: Gunners are at their best with backs against the wall - Sherwood

ARSENAL are at their best when they have their “backs against the wall.”

Gus Poyet shares his predictions for Arsenal V Tottenham

Those are the thoughts of former Tottenham boss-turned-pundit Tim Sherwood.

Tottenham travel to Arsenal on Saturday (12.30pm), but Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won only one of their past 24 visits to the red half of north London.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, is aiming to score in his sixth north London derby in a row.

Arsenal find themselves in sixth spot in the Premier League table, four points adrift of Tottenham and 12 behind the table-toppers Manchester City.

And Sherwood, who has memories of the derby as a player and a manager, isn’t completely writing off the Gunners.

However, he thinks Spurs are capable of producing a resounding win.

“Tottenham are capable of inflicting a heavy defeat on Arsenal,” he told Sky Sports’ The Debate Show.

“I always think with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, they are always at their best with their backs against the wall.
