David Moyes says Jack Rodwell will avoid wage cut next season
Sunderland's drop to the Championship was confirmed last month after their 1-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth.
And the Sunderland squad will suffer a 40 per cent wage-cut ahead next season due to a clause in the players' contracts - apart from midfielder Jack Rodwell.

Jack Rodwell will continue to earn £60,000 a week in Championship
“I believe there is one player who has not but I think the rest are," Moyes said. "I believe it is all 40 per cent.”
And when pushed if the player in question was Rodwell, Moyes added: "Yes."
The Sun claim the former Everton and Manchester City player will continue earning £60,000 a week at the Stadium of Light.

Jack Rodwell started just 16 Premier League games this season
Sunderland signed Rodwell for £10million in 2014 from City, but the 26-year-old has so far failed to live up to expectations.
Rodwell, who has won three caps for England, has started just 16 Premier League games for the Black Cats this season.
