Leeds make surprise offer for midfielder after impressing owner Massimo Cellino
LEEDS have set their sights on Luton midfielder Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, according to reports.
Leeds United club fact file
Leeds are said to be in the market for a new striker and midfielder before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
And the Yorkshire Evening Post claim Luton's Mpanzu has emerged as a target after impressing owner Massimo Cellino.
Cellino watched the 23-year-old during Luton and Leed's clash in the EFL Cup last week where he caught the eye.
Reports say Leeds have made an official offer for the midfielder which is yet to be confirmed by either club.
Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu is reportedly a target for Leeds
Mpanzu is a former West Ham youth but failed to make a single Premier League appearance for the east London club.
He went on loan at Luton in the 2013/14 season and signed for the Hatters permanently at the end of that campaign.
Mpanzu is a versatile midfielder and can also play as a centre-back and is under contract until June 2018.
