Arsenal Transfer News: Lacazette update, Monaco defender explains snub, big Mustafi blow
EXPRESS SPORT brings you all the latest Arsenal transfer news.
Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi
Arsenal had a £29.3million bid for the 25-year-old striker rejected last month.
And Aulas has now told RMC Sport: “Lacazette will stay with us.”
He told France Football: “With Arsenal, I hesitated for a long time, but in terms of playing time, I knew I would be very limited, between 15 and 20 matches.
“That was not formally said to me, but I did their line-up in my head because there is quite strong competition for places. And then in England, it is a risk.
“A lot of young players have gone there without the necessary skills. So I said to myself, do another year or two in Ligue 1, take as much from it as possible, and why not, then play there (in England).”
Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi will not be sold this summer, according to coach Pako Ayestaran.
Following Valencia’s 4-2 La Liga defeat last night, Ayestaran said: “Mustafi is not for sale and will not be leaving the club.”
Arsene Wenger wants to sign the Germany international but has reportedly been told to stump up £50m.
