Chelsea transfer boost: Agent reveals Joao Mario has not agreed move to Inter Milan
INTER MILAN are yet to finalise a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Mario, his agent has revealed.
Joao Mario - 5 things you need to know
Mario was linked with a move to Chelsea and reports in Portugal last week said the Stamford Bridge club had made a £39million bid.
Portuguese newspaper Jornal De Noticias claimed the Blues and Inter had made near identical offers for the midfielder, with the Italian club slightly edging it with £4m in bonuses.
The Serie A giants have since progressed with the deal and are said to be close to signing the 23-year-old.
Portuguese website Maisfutebol claim Sporting president Bruno Carvalho spent the last two days in Italy working on Mario's move.

However, Carvalho has now returned home without the deal being announced and Mario's agent Kia Joorabchian has confirmed nothing has been agreed.
"There is nothing new to say about it at the moment,” Joorabchian said.
"An agreement still hasn’t been reached yet. You will have to call me again tomorrow night to see.”
Mario made 45 appearances for Sporting last season, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists, and was also part of Fernando Santos' Euro 2016-winning side.
