Steven Gerrard - Spotlight On
Steven Gerrard has admitted he could retire at the end of the 2016 MLS season, ending any hope of a possible return to Liverpool.
The 35-year-old is set to play his first full season for LA Galaxy since leaving Liverpool last season.
And the former England and Anfield captain says he is already looking at coaching.
"Nothing is 100 per cent certain yet, but this season at LA Galaxy could be my last as a professional footballer," he writes in The Daily Telegraph.
"I know I’m in the twilight of my career. I am starting my UEFA ‘A’ license shortly and the Football Association are proving to be proactive and hugely encouraging in helping former players onto the coaching ladder."
Steven Gerrard, Marko Marin, Antonio Adan
Liverpool are preparing a shock move to sign Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin, according to reports.
The Reds are understood to be keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, who is currently impressing on loan at Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Marin has been loaned out on four separate occasions since moving to Stamford Bridge from Werder Bremen in 2012, but his Premier League career could be revived.
With the Daily Mirror via CalcioMercato claiming Jurgen Klopp will consider a bid for him at the end of the season.
Liverpool sent scouts to watch Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan.
That is according to Spanish newspaper Marca via Bleacher Report, who claim and an Anfield representative was in attendance during Betis' 1-1 draw with Sporting Gijon.
