Lazar Markovic gives update on Liverpool future
LAZAR MARKOVIC has revealed he will not make a decision on his long-term Liverpool future until the end of the season.
Lazar Markovic has admitted he won't make a decision on his future until the end of the season
Markovic joined Fenerbahce on a season long loan in the summer after struggling in his debut campaign at Anfield after signing from Benfica in 2014 for £20million.
But in his first season with the Reds under Brendan Rodgers he rarely featured in his favourite position as a winger and started just 11 Premier League games.
However he has put in some good performances so far at Fenerbahce, and the Turkish club are keen on securing him on a permanent deal.
He has also been linked with a move to Fiorentina, but he admitted he is currently fully focused on helping league-leaders Fenerbahce to the Turkish title.
"I'm trying to do my best. I came here for the championship," Markovic told Turkish newspaper AMK.
"Currently I am focused on that goal. What happens at the end of the season, we will see."
