Chris Ramsey says there are some players at QPR not worth the money

Ramsey, whose side face West Ham today, said: "I think in every club you'd walk in and managers and coaches and staff would always say there are people at football clubs that are not earning the money they are being paid.

"I've only got time for the people who want QPR to stay up and are prepared to stay as fit and strong and healthy and work as hard as they can to keep us in the Premier League.

"Anyone who has taken the pitch this season has tried their absolute guts off."

A number of QPR players are out of contract this summer and Ramsey hopes that will boost his side's survival efforts. He said: "I would say from an individual point of view, anyone out of contract would be working their guts off to get a new contract or put themselves in the shop window for someone else to give them a contract."

Living with the expectations from the first half of the season has been a factor

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce, meanwhile, attributes West Ham's poor form in recent months to players struggling to cope with increased expectations.

The Hammers' excellent start to the season has been overshadowed by a sequence of two wins from 16 Premier League matches since Christmas.

He said: "Living with the expectations from the first half of the season has been a factor. The players haven't managed to live with that or cope with expectations.

"There are various reasons for that: the pressure of maintaining the same level of football they that reached; the constant pressure of hitting those heights.

"Certainly injuries have played a part as well fatigue with some of the players."
