DIEGO SIMEONE'S brash style at Atletico Madrid would put off top Premier League clubs wanting to hire him.

That is according to the former Liverpool star turned pundit Jamie Carragher.

Simeone saw his side knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Real Madrid last night after a 1-0 defeat.

But Carragher thinks Simeone's overly aggressive style wouldn't warrant a job offer from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United or Manchester City.

I don't think top teams in our league will want their teams to play like that

"I love watching him [Simeone] on the sidelines. I love watching his team play, a team of men," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"But there's no way a top team - an Arsenal, a Manchester United, a Manchester City - will watch that and think 'that's the type of football we want to play.

“He's with an underdog now. It's different. He's not manager of Real Madrid or Barcelona. He's manager of Atletico. They're fighting against the odds.

Diego Simeone sees his side crash out of the Champions League

"I don't think top teams, giants of European football and in our league will want their teams to play like that."
