Roberto Martinez: Everton and Tottenham to discuss Aaron Lennon's future this summer

ROBERTO MARTINEZ says he will sit down with Aaron Lennon and Tottenham and discuss a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Lennon has impressed at Goodison Park since his loan switch from Spurs in early February.

His arrival has coincided with an upsurge in form for the Toffees, who have lost just four games in 15 after going eight without a win over December and January.

But talk of a permanent switch for Lennon must wait until the season is concluded, warned Martinez.

"Aaron is enjoying his football and his contribution to the team has been significant," he said.

"He has got four games left and all I want is for him to enjoy every single second of it and make sure he enjoys the experience as much as we have benefited from his talent.

"Then, at the end of the season, will be the moment to sit down. A loan is a loan and it means that we are looking for a successful outcome out of that.

"Then, when the loan finishes, you have got a three-way conversation to see where that will take us.

"But the focus now is to see 'Azza' enjoying his football in the next four games."

Lennon started his career at Leeds United where he became the youngest Premier League player at 16 years and 128 days when he made his debut against Spurs in August 2003.

He made his England debut three years later and boasts 21 full caps to date.
