LIVERPOOL are ready to sign Ciro Immobile from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

Ciro Immobile has scored just three goals in the Bundesliga this season

The Reds must fork out around £17million for the Italian striker, who has scored just nine goals for Dortmund all season.

Immobile, 25, joined the Bundesliga club only last summer from Torino but has endured an indifferent season in Germany.

And with Liverpool set to let Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert go this summer, manager Brendan Rodgers is seeking replacements.

It is claimed Fabio Borini is also ready to depart the Anfield club, meaning Rodgers is likely to have bids placed on a number of strikers heading into the off-season.

Martin Skrtel wants to sign a new Liverpool contract and has no intention of quitting the club.

The centre-half, 30, is locked in negotiations with Reds bosses over an extension to his current deal.

There were reports linking him to both Napoli and Wolfsburg this summer but the Slovakian has denied those rumours, stating: “I am not leaving anywhere. Not to Wolfsburg nor to Naples.”

Indeed, his agent, Karol Csonto, further distanced Skrtel from a transfer abroad.

He said: “The only offer which is lying on Martin Skrtel’s table right now is the extension of his contract from Liverpool.

“We have been working on the details, and we will be finalising it soon.

“It is not true that he has some offer from the German club. I don’t know anything even about their interest.”

Jordon Ibe is expected to sign a new Liverpool contract this summer.

The exciting young prospect has a year left to run on his current deal but will be offered an improved contract as the Reds try to lock down their key players.

Ibe would join Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho in committing to Liverpool for the long term, while Martin Skrtel is on the verge of completing a contract extension.

Liverpool are still sweating over Raheem Sterling's future after the negotiations stalled over a new contract.

But there is unlikely to be any problem with Ibe, who has greatly impressed in a Liverpool shirt this season after enjoying a six-month loan stint at Derby County earlier in the campaign.

Liverpool have renewed their sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered.

The club announced a three-year extension to their shirt sponsorship arrangement with the bank that has been their main partners since 2013.

Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC's chief commercial officer, said: "The sponsorship of the Liverpool shirt is extremely prestigious and only five brands will have adorned the shirt in the 40 years since we created the sponsorship opportunity."
