LUKAS PODOLSKI believes he will get a chance to play up front for Arsenal next season.

The Germany international was sent to Inter Milan on loan in January after complaining about the lack of game-time.

He failed to start a game for Arsenal in the first half of the season, making only seven substitute appearances in the Premier League, although he scored three times in the Champions League.

And the 29-year-old has struggled to make have an impact in Serie A, scoring just once in 11 games for Inter under Roberto Mancini.

But he's confident he can return to the Emirates and break back into Arsene Wenger's team.

“I think I'll have the opportunity of playing as a starter when I go back to Arsenal,” Podolski said according to Football Italia.

“I still have one year in my contract, so we'll see what happens. At Arsenal I lived two beautiful seasons, scoring many goals and producing many assists.

“This year things didn't go as well and for this reason I decided to change teams, but now I feel ready.”
