The Blues manager looks set to clinch his third Premier League title at Stamford Bridge after guiding his side to a 1-0 win over Manchester United last weekend.

Mourinho also boasts a League Cup triumph this season to add to his two English championships, one FA Cup and two League Cup trophies from his first stint.

And Ferreira, who followed Mourinho from Porto to Chelsea in 2004 and retired at the club nine years later, believes the manager could reign over an era of domination in west London.

"When you are at this club you want to win titles and for next season it will be the same. The motivation is to win trophies," Ferreira said, speaking on behalf of club sponsors Gazprom.

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea are 10 points clear in the Premier League title race

"He wants to succeed and do well, for how long I do not know. I think everyone at the club wants him to stay for a long, long time.

"I think everyone would like to see him in control for many years but in football, anything can happen."

Chelsea are on course to win the title this season after stretching their lead at the top of the Premier League to 10 points over second-place Arsenal.
