Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard to face Man Utd and Chelsea in big-money pre-season tour
CHELSEA and Manchester United are set to play Steven Gerrard in their pre-season tour of North America.
Manchester United played Real Madrid in the United States last summer
The two Premier League clubs will come up against some of Europe's elite teams in a money-spinning trip and could also go head to head with Gerrard's new club LA Galaxy.
Gerrard signed an 18-month contract worth £6million in January and will join up with his Galaxy team-mates in July.
Barcelona, PSG and Fiorentina join United and Chelsea, with Mexican side Club America also entering the International Champions Cup.
It will be the eighth time in 12 years Chelsea have journeyed to the USA and chairman Bruce Buck said he was looking forward to the trip.
"We know the facilities we use will be second to none and Jose and the squad will be able to prepare for what already promises to be an exciting 2015/16 campaign," he said.
