The 20-year-old has spent this season on loan at Empoli but has impressed sufficiently that Juve have been left with a conundrum.

Rugani has been compared to Italian legends Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Cannavaro for his assured performances this season, and has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

But Juve don't have room for another centre-back next season with Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna already on their books.

According to SportItalia, Juve have been impressed by Emploli boss  Maurizio Sarri's influence on Rugani.

Sarri has been linked with bigger jobs - including the Sampdoria position - in recent weeks and Juve are contemplating letting Rugani follow the tactician wherever he goes on loan.

But Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer the youngster an alternative destination and hope Juve may consider doing a deal for a fee in the region of £11m.
