Aaron Cresswell has impressed Chelsea and Manchester City this season

The 25-year-old former Ipswich man has been in impressive form this season and has attracted attention for the two blues.

West Ham signed Cresswell on a five-year deal for £2m last summer.

But, according to the Daily Mirror, the Premier League giants will make their move when the transfer window re-opens.

Cresswell has been touted for an England call-up after just 32 Premier League appearances.

He has scored twice, including Saturday's stunning free-kick in the 1-1 draw with Stoke, and has four assists.

But admitted his frustration at continually throwing away points.

"I can’t really put a finger on why there have been a few late goals recently, maybe it is us not staying switched on to the very end,” he said.

“It is Man United, Tottenham and now on Saturday, so it is very disappointing not to get the three points, because if we had held on in those, we would be quite high up (the table).

“The most disappointing thing was that we couldn’t push on after going 1-0 up and score a second goal.

“It didn’t come, so you just have to be professional and hold on to the 1-0 and play rough and dirty if that is the case to get that 1-0.”

The bidding for Cresswell is expected to begin at around £10m, but the Hammers are confident of keeping him.
