Man Utd ready to SWOOP as Dani Alves reveals he is ‘willing’ to leave Barcelona

DANI ALVES says he is “willing” to listen to offers from other clubs if Barcelona do not match his contract demands.

Alves is reportedly locked in early discussions with Barca officials over a new deal but last week his agent revealed initial offers were “too low”.

The Brazilian’s contract expires this summer and Manchester United are known to be interested in his services.

And it appears the right-back is ready to force the issue, hoping to get a response from Barca, after revealing he is ready to consider moving abroad.

“I’m nearing the end of my contract with the same ambition with which I arrived at Barca,” Alves told BeIn Sport.

“Barca changed my life because they allowed me to achieve my dreams. I’m very happy at this club and I have signed for anyone else.

“If there are clubs that offer me a new alternative or I’m not at the level Barca want then I’m willing to consider other options. I’ll make a decision at the end of the season.”

United reportedly discussed a three-year contract with Alves’ representatives in the winter but no deal materialised.

Instead, the Old Trafford club are expected to step up their chase for the 31-year-old when the season finishes.
