United boss Louis van Gaal has made Cavani his top transfer target as he looks to have finally lost patience with loan misfit Radamel Falcao.
Cavani is heading out of the French capital after a touchline bust-up with coach Laurent Blanc last weekend.
The Uruguayan star won't be cheap in terms of wages or even his transfer fee, with PSG looking to recoup the £55million they paid Napoli two years ago.
Cavani, 28, may demand the same money as United's highest-paid star Wayne Rooney, who earns around £300,000 a week.
But that won't be a problem for United with Falcao currently picking up around £265,000 a week.
