Man Utd can overtake Chelsea and Arsenal for Premier League title, claims Liverpool legend

The third-placed Red Devils currently sit one point behind Arsenal and eight short of leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand.

And former Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Hamann believes Louis van Gaal's men have hit their best form at the right time.

However, the German admits United must rely on Jose Mourinho's Chelsea slipping up in their remaining eight fixtures.

Hamann said: "The way United played at Anfield recently - that was the best Manchester United I've seen in a long time.

"They looked like the United of old.

"I can see United going on a roll now and, depending on how Chelsea do in the last seven or eight games, they may make a late push for the title if they win on Sunday - which I expect them to do."
