Chelsea eye West Ham's Aaron Cresswell as potential Filipe Luis replacement

CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell as a potential replacement for Filipe Luis.

Chelsea - Most Expensive Transfers

The 29-year-old Luis - who joined the ranks at Stamford Bridge in the summer for £15.8m - has already been linked with a return to the La Liga champions.

The Brazilian has failed to break into the Blues' back-four this term, making just seven Premier League starts, and is reportedly open to a move.

According to ESPN, Jose Mourinho is keen to keep hold of the experienced left-back but would consider his sale if there's profit to be made.

And the Portuguese tactician has targeted Cresswell should Luis make a return to Spain in the summer.

Aaron Cresswell could replace Filipe Luis at Chelsea

The 25-year-old has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League after joining Upton Park from Ipswich last July.

The uncapped Englishman has also reportedly attracted interest from Arsenal.

The Hammers are reluctant to part with Cresswell and - if reports are to be believed - could demand as much as £15m for his services.
