Muto told Japanese press he was 'honoured' to receive an offer from Jose Mourinho.

He said: "I'm honoured to receive an offer from this wonderful team, but I have not made any decision yet."

Chelsea's move for Muto comes just weeks after they signed a major sponsorship deal with Japanese tyre firm, Yokohama Rubber Company.
