The Potters currently have the joint smallest playing surface in the Premier League at 100m by 66m, along with QPR.

But Hughes feels a bigger pitch will help Stoke's new-found passing game and is considering making a request to the league in the summer.

Standard dimensions are 105m by 68m but Hughes' side have been allowed to play with a smaller pitch.
