Arsenal ready to rebuff ALL bids for Manchester City target Jack Wilshere

ARSENAL are reportedly prepared to stand their ground and reject all bids for Jack Wilshere.

The Daily Mail reported this morning Manchester City are mulling over a move for him and Liverpool star Jordan Henderson.

It was suggested that the reigning Premier League champions are keen to add more English players to their squad.

Wilshere, who has been plagued by injuries this term, has two years left to run on his current contract.

But Arsenal aren't prepared to see Wilshere trot the same path as some of his predecessors who ended up at Manchester City.

The Daily Telegraph claim the Gunners are ready to step up contract negotiations.

It is believed the club insist Wilshere is not for sale and will extend his deal to keep him at the Emirates until 2020.

Should he put pen to paper on a new deal, Wilshere could pocket around £150,000 a week.

Wilshere, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since November, completed 90 minutes for the club's Under-21s last night.
