Arsenal told to FORGET about landing Chelsea ace Petr Cech despite exit wish

ARSENAL have been told to forget about signing Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer, according to reports.

Petr Cech Player Profile

The Czech stopper is keen to leave Stamford Bridge this season after losing his first-team place to Thibaut Courtois this season.

It is thought that Cech wants to remain in the Premier League as he looks to break the record for clean-sheets in England, preferably at a club playing in the Champions League.

But Chelsea are reportedly reluctant to sell to a direct rival.

Arsenal are thought to be in the market for a keeper with David Ospina unseating Wojciech Szczesny as first choice under Arsene Wenger.

And while the Gunners would love to bring in Cech, they have been told Chelsea won't allow it.

An Arsenal source told Goal: "Cech is still one of the best goalkeepers around and he would be the perfect signing, but the message from Chelsea is not to bother wasting our time."

Cech recently admitted that he will look to move on in the summer, saying: "I don't know what the club's idea will be.

"It looks like it works well with me and Thibaut as a duo.

"But that can work for one season only. I don't want another one like this."
