Leeds' Alex Mowatt is reportedly wanted by Hull City and Liverpool

Mowatt scored a stunning goal in Leeds’ 4-3 defeat at Molineux - his ninth strike of the season and fifth of 2015.

It was seen by Tigers scout John Rudge who, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, was on the look out for Leeds’ upcoming crop of young talent.

Mowatt, Leeds' 20-year-old academy product from Doncaster, has already caught the eye of Liverpool this season and the Whites are expected to receive bids for their midfield ace come the summer.

One suitor of which appears to be Hull, whose boss Steve Bruce is seeking reinforcement whether the team avoid relegation to the Championship this May or not.

Talking points - Gameweek 31 Round-up

Hull sit 16th in the Premier League, two points off the drop zone with seven games remaining.

They have already spent big this season, with Jake Livermore, Robert Snodgrass, Mohamed Diame and Dame N’Doye just a handful of the new players to have come in for an outlay of over £25million.

Leeds would hope to hold out for a sizeable fee if Hull beat Liverpool to Mowatt, who boasts England U19 and U20 appearances to accompany over 60 games for the West Yorkshire club.

He is under contract at Elland Road until 2017.
