Cristiano Ronaldo Player Profile
Ronaldo, 38, joined the Strikers as a co-owner in January and has been rumoured to be considering coming out of retirement this season.
The club currently play in the North American Soccer League, the USA’s second tier below to MLS.
And asked who he would like to sign to the franchise, Ronaldo immediately outlined the ambition of landing two of world football’s biggest starts.
"The sky is the limit for the Strikers. This club will be great. Why not (Lionel) Messi, why not Cristiano Ronaldo? In a few years' time we will be able to make it happen,” he said.
"Nothing is impossible. The US is the second fastest growing country in the world in terms of football, after China.
“A lot of famous players will want to come and play in South Florida because of the quality of life. Who wouldn't want to live here?"
Ronaldo also discussed the possibility of playing in the NASL this term.
"I might play a few games, if we get to the playoffs it's more likely. I still have a little way to go to get into shape and not embarrass the coach," he said.
