Edinson Cavani edges toward Arsenal or Liverpool after ANOTHER bust-up with Laurent Blanc

EDINSON CAVANI has taken another step towards the Paris Saint-Germain exit after falling out with Laurent Blanc yesterday.

The Uruguayan striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer with Arsenal and Liverpool both reportedly interested.

Cavani has endured a difficult relationship with Blanc since his arrival at the Parc des Princes, often finding himself played out of position to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And the tension once again reared its head during PSG's victory over Marseille yesterday when Cavani was substituted after an hour.

Cavani hasn't scored for PSG in 13 games and has managed just eight league goals this term.

But he responded badly to the news that he was being substituted and appeared to clash with Blanc on his way off the field.

After the game Cavani told Canal Plus: “For now I am just focused on ending the season well here and giving my best for the club that pays me.

“I am happy in Paris, but you never know in football. Anything can happen in the future.”

Last week PSG were linked with a move for Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette as a possible replacement for Cavani, while Atletico Madrid have admitted they will battle Arsenal and Liverpool for the star in the summer.

Atletico coach Oscar Ortega - a close confident of Diego Simeone - said recently: "An interest in Cavani? Yes, there is.

"As long as there's a chance, we will see what he can offer us.

"But it depends on his interest in us too."
