Juan Mata delivers a message to Manchester United fans after an impressive March

The Spain playmaker has wowed fans with his impressive performances against Tottenham and Liverpool.

The start against Spurs was his first in two months - but it came in United's most impressive performance of the season.

Mata then scored twice at Anfield in the 2-1 win to hand Louis van Gaal's side a dream win over their rivals.

And he was rewarded with his displays with the club's player of the month award for March.

Today he was presented with the trophy and he posted a message on his Twitter page to thank the fans.

It read: "Thanks! Gracias a tod@s!"

Mata is expected to keep his place in the side for United's clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.
